Daniel Weiser and Alex Watson usher in the holiday season with a very fun, family-friendly program of four-hand piano arrangements of some of the best-loved holiday classics highlighted by a virtuoso version of Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker Suite” that is a true high-wire choreographed ballet of twenty fingers competing on a single piano.   We will also perform Leroy Anderson’s “Sleigh Bells” and jazzy arrangements of some popular Carols and Christmas nuggets.   This is a great way to get the holiday season started and a great concert for all ages to attend!  All children 18 and under are Free!

Donations help benefit Kevi Bears Kids, a local nonprofit founded by Kevin and Betty Lee.  The Lee's are the independent restaurant owners of Happy Jack's Biscuit and Gravy located behind Burger King and Innsbrook Mall on Tunnel Rd.  Kevi Bears Kids supplies hungry kids with soccer balls in South America and Africa.  Come support our cause Wednesday through Monday 7am to 3pm by joining us for breakfast and lunch at Happy Jack's!

Alex Watson and Daniel Weiser perform a two piano concert at the incredible home of Daniel Angerstein and Jerry Schultz with its two nine-foot grand pianos from the 1880’s.  There is nothing quite like the power and richness of two pianos in the same room.  The views of the mountains from the outside deck are pretty amazing as well.  You will not want to miss this show!!  Seating is limited and reservations are required.  The Duo will also perform a completely different four-hand piano program on Saturday, April 28 at Isis Restaurant and Music Hall and on Sunday, April 29 at White Horse Black Mountain.

Alex Watson will be performing soulful Christmas carols with vocalist, Rhoda Weaver from 7-8pm in the main chapel as you await a journey through Bethlehem.

Join ABCCM at Groce United Methodist Church to experience the Bethlehem marketplace as it could have been during the time of Jesus' birth! Return to Bethlehem is a family-friendly event and a wonderful way to build excitement for the season as you experience the market stalls, Roman guards, the temple and even the manger where the Holy Child sleeps. This is the 30th anniversary of Return to Bethlehem!

Groups of seven or fewer people will each be assigned a Hebrew family name and wait in the sanctuary until the name is called, during which time guests can enjoy a variety of holiday music.

Return to Bethlehem is ABCCM's gift to the community and there is no cost to attend. Donations are welcome.

Holiday Benefit Concert

Join Alex Watson as he debuts his solo piano concert in Asheville, NC.

The concert will feature classical/jazz piano arrangements of familiar holiday music.

Suggested donation is $20 to benefit the Asheville Buncombe County Christian Ministry's (ABCCM) Veterans Restoration Quarters and kickstart a solo piano sacred album recording project for 2018.

The album "A Holiday Collection" recorded by Alex Watson, pianist will be available for purchase at the concert.  Recorded in November 2017 at Seclusion Hill Music on a Yamaha C6 Grand Piano, the CD features holiday favorites by various arrangers.
